Election mini review

We watched a lot of videos and read a lot of articles about the election and i think that we analyzed it pretty unbiased and showed both sides of it. Hillary's speech after losing the election was really classy in my opinion and even though that she was upset that she lost she still showed a lot of class in the speech and didn't disrespect Donald in any way. The debates on the other hand were a completely different story both of them were really unprofessional and were basically just yelling at each other and were not professional at all. I think that we covered news that was biased to Hillary and some that were biased to Trump and also some that was pretty un biased.

Dating Naked review

I think that dating naked is an interesting show i find it weird that people would go across the world onto an island to get naked with some random person and go on a date with them. Nowadays there are lots of apps and websites that can help you find a match without leaving the country or getting completely naked on the first date. I think that people do this because they want to go to the island and have a really good vacation. Another reason i think that they would want to do this is because they had some bad experiences with dating and want to try a new method to finding someone new. But i still think all they have to do is try different dating apps or websites or even going to a bar like the old fashion way. The show in my opinion is pretty good though it was interesting to watch and keeps the audience interested.

Evan Gun ad review  

The commercial about gun violence was really good in my opinion it got the point across of being aware and looking for the signs of a school shooting. I also think that they made the commercial interesting and if I saw it on TV I wouldn’t of changed the channel because I wanted to see what happened to the Evan and who was writing him back on the table. Then all of a sudden it changes and it was showing how someone was planning a school shooting. I think that it kept people interested and really brought awareness to gun violence. I think it was a good idea how they had all of the incidents leading up to the shooting in plain sight but everyone was too focused on Evan and him trying to find his writing buddy to pay attention to them. It was a really good commercial in my opinion. 

 For the project i choose to do a reality T.V. show about racist addicts cleaning up their act on a boat named Addict Boat 

My intended audience is going to be males aged 18-24 because it is a more mature show so I don't want to aim it at a younger audience so I'm going to play it at 10:00 pm on Monday night on MTV. I think it will appeal to this audience because males tend to like the shows about different topics like this compared to the girls who like shows like say yes to the dress and 4 wedding.

My hook or way to get people to watch the show and keep them watching is that there is going to be lots of drama between the contestants because they are all going to be racist towards each other but also trying to get over there addictions. It also is on a boat so that is going to make it more interesting because there is no escape unless they decide to jump into the seat.

What the people on the show are going to be doing is going through rehab for their addiction so meeting with therapists and having talks with other people and also probably going through withdraw because they won't be able to get there drug or alcohol . They will also be living together dealing with their racism towards each other because there will be a white, black, Mexican, Muslim and other people. 

The focus of the show is going to be on the people that are going to be on the show trying to get over their addiction. The people going on the show are going to be on the show for 1 season and then next season  there will be all new people. They are going to be people over the age 18 both genders. They could have come from different backgrounds it doesn't really matter where they come from because they will all be addicted to something like drugs or alcohol and are going to be very racist towards each other.

This will take place on a boat that they will board in the Dominican republic and then it will move out into the ocean so that way there is no escape and also there is no way for them to get the drugs or alcohol or whatever they are addicted too on board. It will a fairly big and fancy boat but not like the size of a yacht. Image result for big fancy boat

The goal of the show is for them to get over their addiction and racism. There will be no prize for them other then they will no longer be addicted so they can move on with their lives.

How this show will be successful is that there will be lots of drama because it will be racist people living together that are also addicted to drugs or alcohol so they will be going through withdraw and will probably be emotionally unstable so they will cause lots of drama. People will also probably get attached to the show and want to see if the people on the show will get over their addiction.

Construction of reality 
I believe this is a realistic view of the world because it is a guy who's car broke down so he wants to drive the other guy's car so he wants 50% of the winnings but the owner of the car says he only gets 30% of the winnings. I believe it is supposed to be a realistic view because it is just a couple of friends that like to race and get into a fight because of jealousy and stuff goes wrong and the one almost dies because of it. I feel it is portrayed this way because the message of the song is just growing up in a small little town and living a simple life and in the video that is represented because they know the mechanic and he is letting him drive his car where in a big city chances are that wouldn't happen. I doesn't represent pop culture because they are all about following the trends.

Codes and Conventions 
The codes and conventions of this video are that men are agressive and get to involved in sports and that can get the better of them. It also shows that people that live in the country are mechanics and work labour jobs and dont wear suits to work. Also, the lyrics talk about them wanting to live in a small town and drive a tractor and just cruise in their truck, which is a stereotype about people that live in the country. It also talks about fields turning from green which is when fields become ready to harvest which is another stereotype of people that live in the country that they are all farmers.

Creeds and Values
The value statements in this video are that competition can get the better of someone because the other guy won the race brian smashed him into the wall which caused his car to catch on fire and almost cause tyler to lose his life. County lifestyles are portrayed a working mechanic and also dirt racing and it also talks about farming in the lyrics and also cruising in a bronco which is an older truck/SUV that a very common for people that live in the country.


Commercial 
I believe this is an effective way to sell the song because someone will watch the video and talk about how good the video is so someone else will go on youtube and watch the video which also plays the song and get views on youtube so it makes money. The target audience is really anyone that likes country music because fans of Florida Georgia line are going to watch the video because it is Florida Georgia line and then see how good the video is and tell their friends about it. Yes the video does with the song because it is talking about living in a small town and living the country lifestyle which is represented in this video

2nd blog post

Will youtube stay popular as we get older? What will come next?

In my opinion youtube will stay popular as we get older because a lot of teenagers are very attached to it and spend many hours on it every day. As we get older we will continue to use it because we are so used to it. If google or someone else came out with something else I don't think all of the fanbases on youtube will just get up and leave youtube because something else came out. I think teenagers are so attached to youtube because they can relate to it and some of the YouTubers are even the same age and may be going through the same problems or situations as them. I also think it is an escape for people because they can just watch videos and not think about it because it makes them laugh. I also think that it will be used to connect to people all over the world and show what it is like to live in a third world country or the riots going on in wherever but everyone will know what is going on.

1st Blog Post

I believe that media is kind of important in my life. It is kind of important because I like to look at it and enjoy looking at it but it doesn't impact my life that much and doesn't impact what I do and what I wear. I do have all the social media accounts like Instagram,facebook, and snapchat but I use them mostly for entertainment. I feel most passionate about music because I listen to it a lot and it helps me focus on my homework or stuff like that. In my opinion, I think pop culture is good because it allows us to communicate with each other even if we live far away. I mostly use it for entertainment just looking at pictures and friends pictures but sometimes I use it for news and sports updates. I feel passionate about music and some of my favourite artists are Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and jake Owen none of the songs really mean that much to me, I just enjoy to listen to them because when I'm doing homework or other work then the music will help me get through it and not lose my mind. I also like to listen to it while I'm driving because just driving is as exciting as rolling the windows down and listening to music. I really think that music has a good influence on me because it helps me get through hard and boring times.
